The American Israeli Medical Association (AIMA) is a networking organization based in Los Angeles. AIMA specializes in bringing together investors, venture capitalists, professional firms, executives, medical doctors, and academicians to share ideas, build a greater network, and expend their knowledge about the current trends in the biotechnology and medical industry.

 

AIMA Founder and Director – Dr. Ben Drillings graduated from New York Chiropractic College and studied Physical Education and Exercise Physiology at C.W. Post College in long Island University.   In 1998, Dr. Drillings established two vocational schools for Integrative Medicine and the A2Z Health Wellness Centers in southern California.Dr. Drillings founded The American Israeli Medical Association (AIMA) which is a networking organization based in Los Angeles. AIMA specializes in bringing together investors, professional firms, executives, medical doctors, and academicians to share ideas, build a greater network between Israel and the United States, and expend their knowledge about the current trends in the biotechnology and medical industry.  In addition, he serves as the West Coast delegate for Israel Medical Association – USA Chapter.

Dr. Drillings has been attending regularly international conferences related to medical tourism and biotechnology innovations.  Dr. Drillings held and continues to hold many conferences related to the health industry and medical innovations in California.  Among his distinguished speakers are: Mr. Alfred E. Mann, Carla Mann Wood, Dr. Zeev Feldman, Professor Chechanover, Dr. Rafi Beyar, Ms. Susan Samueli and many more.

Dr. Drillings lives in Chatsworth, CA and is happily married with 4 children.

AIMA Preseident – Dr. Offenberger is the current RSLAAIS Governor for Region 7 (Western). He was the President of the Los Angeles Society of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology in 2011 and President of California Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology in 2013.  He is a member of the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America, Southern California Chapter.  In 1997 he was awarded Physician of the year by the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America, Southern California Chapter. Dr. Offenberger pursued academic medicine in New Jersey and continues his dedication to patients by practicing Allergy and Immunology in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. He is involved in many research and study projects to advance knowledge and care for his patients. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, raising tropical birds and spending time with his two wonderful children.

AIMA Advisory Board – Noam Lotan has over 25 years of public company CEO and board experience. He is an investor and past venture partner at OurCrowd. He advises and mentors some of their portfolio companies. Prior to joining OurCrowd, Noam was CEO of Resonate Industries, a startup company in the health care sector. As CEO of MRV Communications, (Nasdaq: MRVC), a global telecom equipment manufacturer, Noam led the company from a startup to a public company with 4,000 employees worldwide and $500 million in revenue, with peak valuation exceeding $5 billion. Light Reading magazine listed him as one of the “top ten movers and shakers” in Optical Networking. Under his leadership, MRV was recognized for eight consecutive years as one of the fastest growing public companies in Southern California. Some of the more significant products developed by MRV were the first 100Mb Ethernet Switch (licensed to Intel) and the optical transceiver for Verizon FiOS®, Fiber-to-the-home, with well over 15 million subscribers.
Previously, Noam held a variety of management positions at Hewlett-Packard (US) and at Fibronics (UK, France and Israel). Noam earned an electrical engineering degree from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and an MBA from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France). He served as an officer in the IDF. He currently serves on the board of directors of Capstone Turbine Corporation® (Nasdaq: CPST) where he has chaired the audit committee for 7 years as well as the board of Surgical Theater and the board Social Print Studio. In addition, Noam also serves on the advisory board of Woodbury University School of Business, Burbank CA, and on the board of the American Israeli Medical Association.
